Welcome to Valley Stream South High School's Online Newspaper, The Southern Bell. The Southern Bell Newspaper Club began in 1972 and it offered an opportunity for students to be able to learn about journalism and bring the news and school events to their fellow peers. The Southern Bell continues to be the voice of the student population for all grades 7-12!

We are very excited about the launch of our webpage and we are looking forward to bringing our wonderful staff, amazing articles, past Southern Bell Issues, and our South community to our new online webpage! Welcome and feel free to explore!
